You Capture - Green

Thursday, September 29

We are going green by making reusable sandwich bags.  I found some cute fabric.

My 7 yo says she is going green by using rocks and string to make dolls.  FYI, rock are too heavy to stay on a stick when adhered using a glue gun.  We are now on a search for lighter heads.

I found a lot of green leaves on a sunny walk today.

Dr. C went to Orlando and all I got was this lousy blog post!

Wesnesday, April 14
OK, that is not really true, but it sounded like a good title.

As you can see Kevin brought back a bunch of swag, which included a lot of pens, hand sanitizer that looks like a pen, memory sticks, rulers and a dozen or so bags.  I've really been wanting to do better at using my own bags at the grocery store.   Now, I have no excuses!  I recently discovered that my grocery store gives you a 5 cent discount for using your own bags.  In fact if you see me using paper or plastic you should go ahead and punch me.   Of course I do use one per week for my trash because I'm definitely not going to buy plastic trash bags.
Note:  I started writing this post about  a month ago and should have several bruises because I keep forgetting to put them in the car.   Must remember bags!

Also, did you notice all the spent water bottles.  How can a hotel next to a convention center that must see thousands of these water bottles not have recycling!!  Luckily that expandable suitcase gave him extra room for bottles.  Good job Dr. C - totally something I would do.
Here is a thumb drive/memory stick he got for free.
Hmmm.  It looks a lot like Kevin's dad (aka Papa Don).
