You Capture - Winter

Thursday, January 14

Tap, tap - is this thing on? I haven't posted anything for 2 weeks now, which makes me sad because up until last week I had never missed a photo challenge! We were out of town until Jan. 7 so I was away from my computer when I might have had time review the photos of 2009. Besides the holidays, not much is happening during the winter here in the Willamette Valley. We missed the only snow so far and have only seen clouds and rain. I've always wanted to get a rain drop photo. See the bare trees and grey skies? And no, I did not convert this to black and white!
Here is a photo from our visit to South Carolina where we had lots of cold, but sunny weather.
We went to two birthday parties last weekend and I got this shot of Sydney at the dreaded Chuck E. Cheese. Which even Sydney calls Chuck E. Disease since Kevin is convinced he caught H1N1 the last time he was there.

Brrr... I'm cold, just looking at that first picture! It's beautiful, though. Great focus on that rain drop and the reflection in it.
I really like the second one, too, the way the sun shines on the trees.
The thirsd one is cool, too, with the colorful spinny thing at the top (not a big fan of Chuck E. Cheese here either).

I love the color in that last photo, but I hate Chuck E. Cheese. My husband calls it a nightclub for kids.

The raindrop photo is great...it makes me laugh because it's such an accurate representation of our Portland winters. Is it summer yet?? :)
