The girls had cold last week, but they got better just in time to celebrate Christmas, so we had a nice quiet Christmas eve and opened a few presents so the girls would have something to do. Yesterday we drove to visit two sets of grandparents. Here are a couple of photos - I was trying to use a star filter on my camera with only a little success.

OK, those star catchlights in her eyes look kinda cool... but kinda creepy, too! :-)
I don't always get good results with the filters either. Seems to work best with the widest aperture, and the further the lights are away from the camera, the better the result.
