Around Edinburgh

Day 14-16 Well, I'm startin' to git a wee bit behind in me bloggin'. ahem. There are so many sights to see and not enough time to sort through all the pictures and tell all the tales. In fact the last few days are starting to run together. Everything takes longer than you think. Walk to the bus stop, wait for the bus, ride the bus, get off the bus, look at the map, walk to the sight and then reverse the whole thing. But that's not all - in between each of those things you have to stop for at least two of the following: Sydney saying that she is hungry (I think she is eating out of homesickness or insecurity or wanting attention, I haven't figured it out yet), Sydney begging to be carried, telling the girls that they are walking too close to the curb (the cars go fast and from the opposite direction that you'd expect), someone needing a drink of water, Kyla needing the bathroom (about 5 minutes after you've walked away from the convenient/free toilet), Sydney saying she is hungry (oh, did I say that already?), actually stopping for a snack, or taking off or putting on a jacket (it's a bit cool, winding and sometimes rainy here). Okay, I know that sentence was way too long, but I'm not going to fix it. We've really enjoyed the sights in Edinburgh (pronounced more like Edinburough), the Castle, old town, new town and several churches and museums. There are also tons of restaurants, bars and cafes here too. Several Indian and Italian places. We even found Spanish place called Cafe Andaluz (mostly serving tapas, which are like hors d'oeuvres, paella and wine) so we couldn't resist going, plus we were starving. It ended up being the best restaurant we've been to so far. Just in case you didn't know, Andalucia is the part of Spain we are headed to. Well, I wasn't going to say much and look what happened. Now, I'll refer you to the web album and I may ad more pictures later.

This picture is almost as good as the view from Cairn Gorm Mountain. Enjoyed the blog - safe travels.
